Robin-ThickeRobin Thicke, who is involved in a legal battle over the origin of his 2013 hit single ‘Blurred Lines’, has confessed about his contribution to the song that he did not do a single interview without being high in 2013.

According to reports, Thicke insisted in his previous statements that he wanted to be more involved than he actually was but by the time the song became a huge hit, the singer wanted the credit for the song.

The 37-year-old singer stated that he was high on Vicodin and alcohol when he showed up at the studio.

The American singer had earlier stated that he and Pharrell Williams recorded the song in the studio within half-an-hour after getting inspired from Marvin Gaye’s ‘Got to Give It Up’.

Thicke has now confessed that he was jealous of Williams and he wanted some of the credit tried because Williams wrote the entire song pretty much by himself.

Williams and rapper T.I., who also featured in the hit single, are involved in a legal battle over the origin of the track with the children of the late Marvin Gaye where they have accused the musicians of ripping off their father’s 1977 smash ‘Got to Give It Up’.
