I would like to highlight the issue of stray dogs in the city of Mumbai. Our country is developing at a pace but common problems like this are not taken care of. These dogs are neither vaccinated, nor are they given a proper nutrition or shelter. The municipality should build stray dog shelters all over the country so that they don’t harm people and they get a place to live in. Stray dogs are dangerous as they also start attacking passersby. They also run towards motor bikes which lead to many accidents. People lose their sleep as the dogs keep barking all the time, especially during the nights. If we are bitten by them, we are likely to be affected by rabies and die. So why doesn’t our government take action against them. At the same time, strays dogs can become friendly and also come to the rescue of people who befriend them.
