Actress Kangana Ranaut looked every inch a Mughal empress as she walked for Manav Gangwani in his creation from his latest collection titled Begum-e-Jannat at the FDCI India Couture Week 2016 on Sunday.

Kangana looked ravishing in a maroon choli, with mirror work, that she paired with a heavily embroidered lehenga and mesh duppatta. The “Queen” star with beautiful curls completed her regal look with minimal make-up.

“Kangana is a very versatile person and it is easy working with her. She exudes a certain charm and a classic yet modern vibe that sets perfectly with my collection this year,” Gangwani, who has styled stars like Hrithik Roshan, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga and Eric Clapton said.

The offsite show hosted by Gangwani at the Lodhi hotel here, saw as many as 70 handcrafted silhouettes that captured the era of the Mughals and the royal age effortlessly with flowing kaftans, intricately designed lehengas, flamboyant saris and classic sherwani in shades of ivory, black, navy, green, maroon and white.

With specially curated music by Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, the models sashayed down the ramp in pieces from the grand collection, which saw intricate work of zardozi.

The designer used fabrics such as luxurious silk velvet, sheer gauzy tissues, regal silk and tulle sprinkled with shimmering mirror work.
