It seems that in a bid to provide more and more clientage to auditors and consultants of Goods and Service Tax (GST), provision of editing mobile-number and e-mail ID of GST assesses is not there in the GST-website. In early days of implementation of GST, auditors and GST consultants filled up their own mobile-numbers and e-mail IDs in the registration-forms of assesses. Even assesses at that time could not give a proper attention to what was being filled up by their auditors and consultants in the registration-forms.
But when assesses have now no option other than to settle under new cumbersome-most GST-system, they do not find any option to edit mobile-number and e-mail IDs so as to edit the earlier ones given of their auditors and consultants. It may be noted that such option was available in respect of service-tax on website of Central Board for Excise and Customs (CBEC). GST-department and Union Finance Ministry should urgently incorporate edit-option for mobile-number and E-mail ID on GST website like earlier existed for Service-Tax.
