Anurag-KashyapAnurag Kashyap gave a new dimension to otherwise stereotypical Hindi Cinema. At a time when candy-floss cinema was ruling the roost, filmmaker Kashyap took upon himself to present the dark side of what we believed had ceased to exist.

His films often landed him in censor trouble over use of expletives and cuss words. However, that did little to stop him from making a classic two-part ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’. Kashyap has built his brand of cinema over years and is loved for what he makes. There is a sense of ‘belonging’ in his narrative which draws the audience to the ticket window.

However, news that has surfaced lately might shock his fans and followers. The ace filmmaker has revealed that he is moving out of the country to settle down in France. Since France is a haven for world cinema, Anurag would like to settle down in the country to make films with a global appeal.

Also, it seems that the decision has come in at a time when his ambitious project ‘Bombay Velvet’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma failed to create magic at the Box office.

Kashyap was quoted as saying that he is planning to move out of the country as he wants to make films where people have lesser boundaries. The filmmaker quipped that he wants to push himself but can do it only to a certain extent here. He added that even though Bombay does inspire him, there are a lot many limitations which stop him from making the kind of films he wishes to do.
