Ravichandran Ashwin has claimed number one position In the ICC test all-rounder category. He also won both ICC cricketer of the year and ICC Test player of the year. Ashwin stood among ruins in batting and bowled with venom to win matches in his individual capacity. Among the Indians only Rahul Dravid could win both the awards in the year 2004. Ashwin deserves Garfield Sobers Trophy in a fitting way. He mastered the art of off spin bowling under watchful eyes and he is the trump card bowler for India. By batting at number 6 position he has put an end to slide and middle order collapse which occurred in the past. Spin doctor is the right word applied for the superlative bowling performance of Ravichandran Ashwin. He is cool, composed and calculated to rub the opposition on the wrong side and achieve big haul of wickets. Ashwin is on top of the show with success with both bat and ball. Kudos to Ravichandran Ashwin for his superlative show in the year 2016.
