Bandra fire – BMC blame game starts

After a day of Bandra fire, blame game has started as BMC blames residents for fire in the crowded locality. Despite grave situation in the area, demolition is to continue. In an explosion of gas cylinders three persons were injured and number of them was rendered homeless. BMC alleged that the residents showed unwanted resistance and thereby trigger to stop the drive undertaken. BMC one again proved its mettle in creating confusion and causing material loss to Garib Nagar people. More over Harbour line services were disrupted also in the melee. More than 50 structures including shops were demolished, as part of the action to clear the area within 10 m of Tansa pipeline to build a 39 km cycling and jogging track. BMC did make a complaint about the people in the area and gathered on the FOB and created nuisance by taking pictures and blocking the movement and tried their best to obstruct the work. Slowly and steadily people lose their faith on BMC as the recent incidents suggest in the Metro.
