Ravi Sawani, chief of Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) resigned from his position on Friday citing personal reasons.

It wasn’t an unexpected decision as Sawani had reportedly tendered his resignation in April but was asked by the board to continue on until the end of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Jagmohan Dalmiya accepted the resignation and Neeraj Kumar, the former Delhi commissioner of police, who was recently roped in as an advisor to the Indian board’s ACU, is expected to take over.

Sawani’s tenure is likely to end in June.
