After getting immense support from southern India the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has arrived in Maharashtra and getting huge support from across the state. Especially youth and women are participating in the ongoing Yatra to support Rahul Gandhi.

On the 12th day of the yatra in Maharashtra, it arrived in Shegaon village of Akola district. Rahul Gandhi visits the famous Shri Gajanan Maharaj Temple and offers prayers along with several Congress leaders. In the evening, the rally has begun which was arranged on a 20-acre farm.

To address the people Rahul Gandhi said, “We are uniting the people of the nation through this yatra but the opposition was working to divide the nation.”

He further said, “Shivaji Maharaj gave the direction to the whole world. We are walking the paths of their thoughts through this Bharat Jodo Yatra. Walking 3,500 KMs isn’t easy for us but look at the faces of all of us you can’t see the fatigue on our faces.”

As per the police, at least 3 lack people witness the rally in Shegaon to hear the thoughts of Rahul Gandhi.

Bhai Jagtap, President of the Mumbai Congress told us, “In the Pre-Independence era there was one Gandhi who fought against the British, and it is the misfortune of the country that even after 75 years of independence another Gandhi was fighting to save the Democracy.”

Earlier, in a press conference, Rahul Gandhi gave remarks on V D Savarkar. as a result, party workers of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), and Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi and protest across the state. MNS party workers even reached out to the Shegaon to oppose Rahul Gandhi and its Bharat Jodo Yatra. The police security was beefed up after the MNS workers planned to protest in Shegaon. Even Allies Shiv Sena (UBT) also opposed the comments against Savarkar and said it will affect the ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi.’

Congress MLA Vijay Wadettiwar told us, “No one dares to stop the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ if anyone opposes, we will respond it with non-violence.”

Veteran Congress leader Hussain Dalwai stated, “BJP and other parties are constrained by seeing the response and support for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. That’s why they are opposing us.”

Veteran Congress leader Ratnakar Mahajan told us, “seeing that, the yatra is getting the maximum response in Maharashtra, the opposition is distraught. that’s why they are using these excuses to stop the yatra.”

After the huge success in Southern India and Maharashtra, the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is now heading toward Madhya Pradesh. It will be interesting to see how the yatra will get a response there.
