The civic body of the city Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has filed FIR against Bollywood actor and India’s hero Sonu Sood for allegedly converting a six-storey residential building in Juhu into a hotel without taking necessary permission. However, the actor had denied all the allegations leveled up by the BMC.
According to the report, the civic body has filed a police complaint against Sood on January 4, stating that the actor had converted a residential building named Shakti Sagar near AB Nair Road in Juhu.
Confirming about the same new agency ANI wrote, “Maharashtra: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has filed a police complaint against actor Sonu Sood for allegedly converting a six-storey residential building in Juhu into a hotel without BMC’s permission.”
Reportedly , Sonu maintains that he had the necessary permissions and was only awaiting clearance from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA).
As per BMC’s complaint, “Sonu had not complied with the notice and was continuing to carry out the “unauthorised development even after the notice was served on him.”
An official from the civic body said the Dabangg actor had moved the city civil court against a notice sent by the BMC in October last year but did not get any interim relief.
While speaking about the same, Sonu said, “I have taken approval for change of user from the BMC. It was subject to the approval of the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority. Currently, Mumbai police is carrying out their investigation in connection with the FIR , further probe is on!
