BMC proposes and adopts a new and unique method to recover unpaid tax and thereby, bring the world’s richest corporation accumulate more revenue in the day to come. The dues owed by various entities runs into crores of rupees and it is high time to recover maximum amount through this unique method. The pressure tactics applied by the loan recovery agents provide the best option as they go door to door and make a request to expedite tax payment by going behind a particular department on a regular basis. Dues owned list is running to pages as even Central Railway and the Central Government are also defaulters and that makes the task most difficult. Better council should prevail to pay taxes before the due date or pay the tax with penalty without any further delay so as to avoid and help BMC plan in a better way in the days to come with more developmental projects for the city and suburbs.
