Child born out of rape deserves all the respect from society as it is no fault of theirs that they were conceived through a sexual crime subjected on their mother. The Delhi High court verdict asking for compensation to be given to such a child too deserves applause as he has to go through lot of humiliation in life. A child born of a raped woman is as normal as any of us and education is the need of the hour for society to not differentiate such child be it in schools or public life. Counselling too should be provided to the mother and child so that the stigma often associated in such a scenario does not lead to depression and social outcast. Award capital punishment to rapists so that they don’t dare to commit such crimes in future. Also, government should legalise prostitution so that the deprived can satisfy their sexual urge in a legitimate manner than indulging in molestation and rape as a tool to satisfy their sexual lust.
