Keeping the city and the surroundings clean is the first priority for the citizens of India. There is a need for cleanliness in a vast country like ours. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. We in India do not care much about the environmental dangers and keeping the surroundings clean. The 125th anniversary of Vivekananda College is the platform to raise this focal issue. We in India suffer because of various diseases and most of the diseases are connected to civic disorder. Malaria, Dengue, Swine Flu has taken many lives and it is high time to have a rational thinking on the cleanliness aspect. Spitting in open is not a good habit and use of plastics should not be allowed to avoid clogging of drainage. Patriotism and cleanliness should go hand in hand to make India Clean and Green. We should strive for the betterment of the country and that lies in the hands of the citizens to keep the country clean. There lies the real success.
