Going ‘Beyond the News’ is what makes Afternoon Voice the watchdog of the society where citizens concern is addressed to appropriate authorities for amicable solutions. We are today living in the world of TRP’s where journalism has been reduced to a ‘Noise’ but the ‘Afternoon’ group stands out amidst the commotion for unbiased news content that readers love to read day in and day out.
The seed sowed by Editor-in-chief Vaidehi Sachin has grown into a tree in the last nine years and heartiest congratulations to the publication on its 9th Anniversary and many more to follow. The Newsmakers Awards are given every year to deserving individuals without recommendations with merit being the sole criteria which makes the award the one of its kind and recognition to the deserving. Afternoon group is a school of learning for young reporters under the guidance of a tough and caring editor and it has been an honour sharing my views with the group’s wide viewership through the Letters to The Editor column all these years. Always felt a part of the publication and that’s an honour!
