Since very long, I have been observing so many vehicle drivers, mainly who drive the high speed modern bikes as well as the autos, jumping the traffic signals as if they have licence to kill the pedestrians anytime. Many of them, in a great haste, also drive their vehicles in the wrong side lanes. And so many vehicles, mainly the autos don’t switch on their lights at night. Forget the headlights. These are the daily menaces occurring on the Sai Leela chowk junction in Borivali west. Unfortunately, the Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari’s appeal falls on the deaf ears of the Road Traffic Signal Department of Mumbai. Will the Commissioner of Police of Mumbai look into this fatal matter personally on war footing?
