The Saudi Arabia anti-corruption drive has arrested 11 princes of the royal family, 4 ministers and some ex-ministers. And in custody interrogation is happening there. While handling corruption cases, one should not consider the suspect’s social identity but what he is supposed to have done. And so, it becomes necessary to imprison him. For that the administration should be seen implementing the law and that is exactly what we see in the action taken by the Saudi Arabian Government. And this gives the message that one who is corrupt, will have to face the consequences even if they are in the very high echelons of the Government. This message will make the people realise if action is taken against such persons; then if they do this, they too will have to pay the price. And so they will think twice before undertaking similar activity. Saudi Arabia has set an example to the world as to how corruption should be fought. The high light of which is that the action has been taken within 4 hours of the enquiry committee is set up. Corruption is the greatest hindrance for development in India. To fight this menace, the country needs to follow the example of Saudi Arabia, and take harsh steps to eradicate corruption from our soil. Strict action against the persons in the list of corrupt individuals with the Government is necessary. Will the Government hear the Mann Ki Baat of the people and take action like the Saudi Government?
