A 13-year-old boy was regularly sodomised and filmed by four teenagers from his neighbourhood at Jamal Colony in Old Malakpet for the last one-and-a-half months. Whenever the victim refused to go with them, his tormentors threatened to upload the videos and pictures on social media.
The accused, who are absconding, are said to be in the age group of 16-17 years.
Though the ordeal of the victim – who cannot be named for legal reasons – began around two months ago, the incident came to light when his father lodged a complaint with Chaderghat police.
The victim’s father said, “They took my son outside on the pretext of playing and showed him porn. Then he was sodomised several times. The episode was videographed by them, who later showed the same at the school where my son is studying.”
He added that his son was sodomised in a jeep, the school cellar, the school terrace, and several other places where they also made videos of him being sodomised. The perpetrators then asked him for Rs. 500, failing which they would show the videos to other people. When he didn’t give them the money, the perpetrators showed the video to a teacher in the school, after which the victim was suspended.
The police have registered a case under Section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code and under the Information Technology Act against the four accused.
Meanwhile, adding to the woes of the 13-year-old, the school administration has suspended the boy for two months after learning about the incident.
