Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today lauded the role of army and para-military forces in containing insurgency in the state and helping its security agency in maintaining law and order.
Inaugurating a Sainik Bhawan at Silchar, Gogoi said the sacrifice by army and para-military forces is unparallelled and as a mark of respect to their supreme sacrifice his Government is doing everything to induct ex-servicemen in government jobs.
Ex-servicemen are the resource of the country, he said, and added that it is the duty of the government to avail their services even after their superannuation.
