If the killing of a cow is an offence according to the Government of India then what about the slaughtering of goats and chickens? Are they not animals too? What about eggs? Why do people offer sacrifices of goats, chickens, ducks and pigeons to gods in temples? Aren’t these not animals too? In that case, we should also not be eating vegetables, because they are also helpless living things. Why is the cow all of a sudden gaining popularity in Modi’s India? Who is the government to tell us what we should eat?
