Group clashes in Aurangabad

The state of Maharashtra was peaceful in the last four years and all of a sudden there is a political imbalance causing group clashes. Clashes broke out between two communities in Aurangabad city in Central Maharashtra and it is a bad sign before the 2019 general elections. The violence erupted following a local issue which angered people in some areas.  Due to rumours, which was circulated like a wildfire in the social media, later it quickly flared up and spread. Over 100 shops were torched and nearly 50 were hurt in the clashes.  Section 144 was imposed and to curtail clash news spreading fast, internet services were blocked. The difference in two communities end up in group clashes and the government will have to act fast and bring peace in these circumstances instead of spreading it all over the state. Group clashes in Aurangabad is one more case of showing resentment over the government functioning in Maharashtra.
