Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan may be about to hit the accelerator when it comes to his Hollywood career. The actor and his family were spotted at a Mumbai restaurant, having dinner with Rob Cohen, director of films like The Fast and the Furious, xXx and Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.
Hrithik and Rob have reportedly been in touch for over a year. Grapevine suggests that the director, known for films with cutting edge action sequences, wants to cast Hrithik in a film.
Hrithik, of course, has what it takes to make it big in Hollywood – Greek god good looks, talent and an ability with action, but the right break seems to have eluded him so far. 2010’s Kites was supposed to be his crossover film, but that didn’t exactly take Hrithik to dizzying heights in Hollywood or Bollywood. When we heard of Paani with Shekhar Kapur, it seemed that Hrithik was finally going to get the international acclaim that everyone seemed to think he was destined for. But with cold water thrown on those plans as well, it seemed that Hrithik would have to take it slow and steady with the Hollywood dream.
Ironically it is the director of The Fast and the Furious who could be putting Hrithik on the right track now. The Roshans, meanwhile, are keeping mum on the matter.
