In an unpleasant remark directed at US President Barack Obama, Judy Mozes, the wife of Israeli Interior Minister Silvan Shalom tweeted a “stupid joke” for which she had to apologise later.
In what reeked of racism, Judy Mozes tweeted, “Do u know what Obama Coffee is? Black and weak”.
After she was condemned on social media for her ill-natured remark, she deleted her tweet and apologised to the US President saying she was sorry for having tweeted a “stupid” and “inappropriate” joke she heard from someone.
Judy Mozes who is a journalist and also hosts TV and Radio shows, is married to the country’s Interior Minister Silvan Shalom and is known for making blatant remarks. She has also targeted Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu earlier.
Judy’s unpalatable remarks come as US-Israeli ties are facing some strains over Iran nuclear talks.
