It is sad that Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, one of independent India’s most celebrated soldiers and one of the heroes of the 1965 war with Pakistan passed away. India has lost a great son; in fact, he was a jewel in the throne of our Armed Forces .Throughout the 1965 war, Singh showed exemplary leadership, and was awarded the Padma Vibhushan and subsequently the rank of the CAS was upgraded to that of Air Chief Marshal. Even after his retirement he was active and never thought he was a retired soldier. He was mentally and physically all around. India lost its icon of military history who always led from the front and we will never forget his outstanding service to the nation.
