Kangana Ranaut has certainly become producers’ hot favourite. The ‘Queen’ of Bollywood, who stole a million hearts as the flamboyant Tanu in the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ series, is all set to essay the role of warrior Rani Lakshmi Bai.
The project in question will be directed by Ketan Mehta, a report in Hindustan Times suggested. The Indo-British venture may also feature Hugh Grant in the role of General Hugh Rose.
Kangana has apparently agreed to do the film and was mighty impressed with the script. The shooting will reportedly start next year as the actress will have to undergo rigorous training to play her part well.
The film will be shot simultaneously in Hindi and English, reports further suggest.
