Actress Keira Knightley is in negotiations to star in “Catherine the Great” film.
Barbra Streisand is attached to helm the biopic on the Russian empress, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Catherine came to power after the convenient assassination of her estranged husband Peter III, and went on to revitalise Russia over her 34-year reign.
The film is yet to announce a release date.
