There is an increase in drivers of owner cars and other private agencies go overboard in front of lady passengers and it has come in open now with regular reporting by the female travellers. In the past number of cases went unreported and now the media is giving full coverage of such indecent act inside a car. The front mirror is used to see the women passenger without looking at her directly and the act begins once the driver is tempted to do so when he is tempted. This is happening in cars owned by private agencies and hired by women for reaching their destination in odd time. In this particular act at Vile Parle, the driver did the act in front of TV actor’s wife. The young and unemployed are taking up driver’s duty and resort to such shameful act in open just because of desperation. In the pretext of asking address, drivers stop at busy roads and try to attract the women on the road and the unwanted acts begin. It is time to stop all such offenders on the road and make the roads safe for women.
