There are too many road accidents involving two wheeler riders in Eastern Express Highway. The latest one took the life of a 67-year-old doctor and such accidents on the road are becoming common. This is a more serious one because the doctor was hit from behind and then crushed under the vehicle. The main reason for the accidents is that the roads are not good for two wheelers travelling through the main stretch. This is the second major tragedy in two weeks at the highway. It is time to level all the roads and see that there are no potholes in the main roads. As the two wheeler riders are compelled to increase the speed on Eastern Express Highway only to avoid being hit from the back by heavy vehicles. Dr Vaze was a sports enthusiast and many were benefitted with his various activities in field sports as well as in indoor games. With his death cricketing fraternity lost an able umpire and a human being. RIP.
