Mumbai Cricket team failed to win in any of major trophies in the year 2017-18. This is a pity condition and also its own making. The team does not have a settled top orders and the middle order caves in once the top order fails. The tail never wags and makes Mumbai side an ordinary one. The batting looked brittle while the bowling does not have the bite. The so called star batsmen in the side did not live up to their reputation and failed miserable against spin. It is the spin duo from Maharashtra side made the Mumbai batsmen dance to their tune. Prashant Kore 2 for 34 and left arm spinner 1-31 in 10 overs each dictated the terms and Mumbai batsmen were just a novice against spin and lost the quarter final game. Their Ranji show was also very poor. In all it was a bad season.
