In an unfortunate incident at Mumbai’s Borivali station, a woman slipped and fell under the wheels of a running train while trying to deboard. The tragic accident was captured on a CCTV camera in the railway platform.
The 55-year-old woman, later identified as Kirandevi Kothari, was trying get off a moving Vadodara Express along with some relatives. The CCTV footage shows a woman jump off first, followed by a man who was Kothari’s nephew.
Following him, the orange saree-clad Kothari stepped onto the platform from the moving train, but then slipped and fell into the gap.
The GRP officials said the train was immediately stopped and reversed to rescue Kothari. She was then rushed to the hospital with heavily bleeding injuries to her mouth and nose. She was declared brought dead at the hospital.
