The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has directed the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to investigate consumer complaints against Ola Electric.
Ola Electric, which has benefited from the FAME II and PM E-DRIVE schemes, was granted eligibility certification by ARAI under the ministry’s oversight.
On October 7, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) issued a show cause notice to Ola Electric, citing alleged violations of consumer rights and misleading advertisements.
Both schemes require manufacturers like Ola Electric to maintain service centers and provide warranty services to address consumer issues, ensuring compliance with the regulations.
