Phenomenal success of PV Sindhu came in the Korean Open Super Series in Seoul as she defeated Nozomi Okuhara in three games in a thrilling summit clash to clinch the Women’s singles title. Sindhu was in irresistible form as she won her 3rd Super Series Title in style after going down in the second game 11-21. The final game was rather thrilling and she won the thriller to become first shuttler from our country to win Korea Open Super Series Title.

It was a great display of fighting spirit and she dedicated her facile win to our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday for his selfless services to the nation. It was a neck to neck fight as both the players won 113 total points at the end of 83 minutes play. Sindhu has lost to Okuhara in the World Championship Final in Glasgow in an epic battle and made amend for her loss in a fitting way. She is a shining star in Indian badminton and her coach worked on her attacking game and that paid rich dividends. She was in full cry during the final stages of the match and that helped her to annex the title in style.  The intense battle and the ultimate win helped Sindhu to level her head-to-head start against Okuhara making it 4-4 and a facile win is the second this year against the Japanese opponent. The success story for Sindhu continues and the significant win is a feather in her illustrious career.
