Amber Rose being used in prostitution racket?

Amber-RoseCelebrity Amber Rose is clueless about being used to trap dozens of models into an alleged prostitution racket.

According to a Hollywood entertainment site, a company contacted models for a paid celebrity shoot and were told that Amber would be selecting the models for the shoot.

And was deceiving in this case is that the company allegedly set up a Facetime session with Amber Rose, but it has been learnt that it is an old video from her Ustream that the company used.

They then gave hopes to the models for bigger projects under the condition that the girls would have to get intimate with men on a date that they would be sent to.

The LAPD is investigating on this after one of the models lodged a complaint against the company and claimed that she was being set up for a prostitution racket.

And poor Amber, who too is a victim in this scandal has no idea about her being used as a trap to solicit models.

Commercial viability necessary for an actor: Radhika Apte

RadhikaIn her ten year-long career in Bollywood, actress Radhika Apte has had a mixed bag of big small budget films, but she believes at the end of the day an actor needs commercial viability.

Apte, 29, who started her Bollywood career with “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!” in 2005, before turning heads with this year’s box-office success “Badlapur”, feels commercial movies provide actors with a reach which is necessary.

“A commercial movie is not a statement to prove anything to an audience, but it gives the actor a certain amount of reach. Unless you reach, how will things happen. It is a calculation at the end of the day where you not only need to be good at your job but also should have commercial viability to be cast in films.

“You cannot juts make films, invest crores and get nothing in return. So it is a balance of both,” she said.

The actress was praised for her performance in the Varun Dhawan-starrer and followed it up with the adult comedy “Hunterrr” and garnered acclaim for her mysterious turn in Sujoy Ghosh’s short film “Ahalya”.

Apte is elated with the response and is hoping that the love stays, bringing along some criticism too.

“The appreciation that I am receiving definitely feels good. I hope the love continues to stay. I have been criticised too, which is good. I hope there is a lot more criticism and appreciation to come.

“I enjoy the process of work so long I am getting good offers and that gets better day by day, I am happy.”

The actress will be seen in Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer “Manjhi- The Mountain Man”, directed by Ketan Mehta.

Sonu Nigam defends Radhe Maa insults Kaali Maa?

Netizens say Sonu should not make comparisons between a goddess and Radhe Maa as there is a huge difference between both of them.

Sonu-NigamBollywood singer Sonu Nigam has landed himself in trouble after he supported controversial godwoman Radhe Maa by comparing her with Goddess Kali. A complaint has been filed against singer Sonu at the Samta Nagar Police Station, by Ramesh Joshi, chairman of Dharma Rakshak Mahamanch for allegedly insulting Goddess Kali by comparing her to Radhe Maa. Police has registered his complaint under sections 295 (A) and 298 of IPC.  Ever since Radhe Maa started grabbing headlines some of her devotees have distanced themselves from her while some others are defending her. Sonu Nigam called out the blatant sexism in the treatment meted out to Radhe Maa. He wrote on Twitter why there were different rules for men and women when it came to godwomen. The singer has also advised the authorities not to sue godmen or godwomen but the followers who accord them the status of gods or goddesses.

Sonu Nigam @sonunigam
“Just my 2 pence. Kaali Maa is depicted in lesser clothes than Radhey Maa. Interesting that this country wants to sue a woman for her clothes.”

Sonu Nigam@sonunigam
“Men Saadhus can walk naked. Dance embarrassingly, but it takes a rape charge to put them behind bars. So much for Gender equality? :).”

Sonu Nigam@sonunigam
“Wanna sue, sue the followers… Sue YOURSELVES.. For making them God men and women. Setting different rules for men and women, not fair.”

Sonu Nigam received flak from netizens for tweeting in support of Radhe Maa. According to them, Sonu should not make comparisons between a goddess and Radhe Maa as there is a huge difference between both of them.

“It’s very shameful all this time Sonu was seeing goddess as a naked women, and what’s more shameful is man like Sonu cannot resist naked woman.” said Sameer Deshmukh a Kandivali resident.

“Sonu, the concept of Kaali Maa has deep spiritual and tantrik significance to devout Hindus. Please, therefore, do not belittle” said Roshan Seth, a Borivali resident.

“It sheer nonsense to compare a living human entity to God. I think the film industry has become insane and lost common sense. Sonu should refrain from posting irresponsible comments online” Vishal Rode, a Malad resident.

Radhe Maa has been accused of obscenity. She is also apparently facing charges of being involved in instigating several people to commit suicide. From wearing skimpy clothes to hugging and kissing her followers, Radhe Ma, has umpteen charges levelled against her.

Earlier, giving major relief to Radhe Maa, the Bombay High Court on Friday granted her interim anticipatory bail for two weeks in dowry case. The case was filed by 32 year old woman Nikki Gupta who accused Radhe Maa of instigating her in-laws to torture her for dowry.

Modi – A real secular leader

Narendra Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister who visited the UAE in 34 years. After his arrival, Modi, on first public rendezvous, he visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a key place of worship in the UAE and known as a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. The mosque is third largest in the world after the ones in Mecca and Madina in Saudi Arabia. It is named after the founder and first President of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The mosque can accommodate around 40,000 people. The mosque was constructed from 1996 to 2007. The visit was very much fruitful and with constructive reasons. However, still there was no need to overplay the visit of Modi to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque by the news channels. After all, the dignitaries during their visit to foreign countries visit historic or iconic structures or monuments irrespective of the fact that they are named after different religions or cults or historic figures. The place visited by Mr. Modi is a world renowned monument; perhaps it is our narrow mindedness or short-sightedness that makes mountains out of moles. A substantial part of news report attempts to view Modi from the prism of ‘ secularism’ as perceived by many political parties and the mainstream media in India, thats trying hard till date to project Mr. Modi as non secular. He has shown by his much derided overseas visits, that each visit is focused on medium to long term investment benefits to Indian economy but also usher in an era of ‘global secularism’ in these troubled times. Without showing any hitch, Modi met with people of UAE. He is simply a shrewd business man and knows which action is in India’s favour.

This landmark and historic deed of allotting land for Temple in Abu Dhabi is a strong evidence of Trust and Mutual respect that UAE and India have for each other. This is also the forerunner of good things to come for both the countries and the vibrancy of relationship that is going to be further enhanced. Here big question is that, can Prime Minister’s visit to Abu Dhabi establish his innocence during the riots that occurred in Gujarat? He is not an anti-Muslim, as painted by the Congress and Bihar political leaders to gain more Muslim votes. The way he has been greeted by the top leaders of Abu Dhabi, tells the good name that he carries with him. People are not fools in Abu Dhabi who will be influenced by the rumours spread by the Congress. In case if a proper agreement is signed between the two countries, both of them will be benefited.

Indians have always given support to the Arab world. Even today, Indian doctors are treating patients in Arab world and engineers doing Blue collar jobs here. The UAE decided to allot land for building a temple, while there are two temples in Dubai, one of Lord Shiva and another of Krishna, there is none in Abu Dhabi. There are nearly 2.6 million Indians in the United Arab Emirates. India is friend of Arab world since Asoka era as neither ever tried to invade. Today constant development of Arab infrastructure is done by Indians and we are not looting them like western economies did. Modi’s visit is very important to counter ISIS insurgency which could affect the whole Arab world after 20-30 years hence they want support of Indian military and man power.

Since Japan is in the news from the past two weeks – Hiroshima, Nagasaki and 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII, apology/no apology; prompts one to ponder viz. Japan which devastated many countries and finally found itself devastated and ended up literally to ‘Ground Zero’ level, had managed to recover, stand on its feet and rebuild the country (they have no natural resources) to what it is today, poses a question: did their leader/s then went about asking for money with the outside world (post-war period) for development ? It is told, once their feet were firm, established in 50s the ‘Overseas Development Agency’ to help other countries in need. India happened to be the first recipient country and we continue to be one with open arms till this day.

Moreover, so far wherever Modi visited he spoke about development, investment opportunities, country’s progress, people’s welfare, peace and leadership. He brings back the investments. He is one of the rarest gems. He is not like other ministers and dignitaries who used the foreign visits only for their personal betterment. This endeavour of Modi should be appreciated and supported by all Indians.

Singer Arijit Singh doesn’t ‘feel threatened’ by gangster Ravi Pujari’s extortion call

Arijit-SinghSinger Arijit Singh is the latest in line of celebrities to fall prey to underworld’s threat calls.

The singer who received an extortion call from gangster Ravi Pujari to cough up Rs. 5 crore or do shows for free has refused to get any police protection from the Mumbai police.

However, without giving any figure, Arijit confirmed the matter via an official statement to the media.

He said that he generally doesn’t answer unknown numbers and the day when Ravi Pujari called, his phone was switched off. A call was later made to his manager Tarsame Mittal. He further said, ‘Tarsame told me he wants to talk to me and made a conference call. By then I got to know from Tarsame that he was asking a ridiculous amount of money. But over the phone he was talking like a gentle- man and asked me if I can sing songs for him and told me to be in touch. My manager gave a statement to police station about it and the police confirmed with me as well.

They offered me security but I told them I have not been threatened so I don’t need security.

Later on I got to know from Tarsame that Nattu Bhai (show organiser in the USA) got a random call from some promoter to do a show with us in a lower budget and that’s why he asked Ravi Pujari to call and finalise it. My management spoke to the promoter and sorted it out. We will do the show if it is under controlled budget. My reaction is pretty normal about it as it is not a big deal. We got pressurised from various sources before and trust to handle those were much more difficult. This matter is getting hyped because of one name- Ravi Pujari. We are touring in the USA. And definitely doing the shows

I have faith in every single human being around me. Everything will be fine. (sic.)”.

He said that he comes from Murshidabad and he is a simple guy. He would rather go back and live peacefully in his native place.

On Twitter, he wrote: “It’s a humble request to media to stop bothering me about news. There are other important things happening in India.”

Maggi ban: NCDRC notice to Nestle, orders fresh sample testing

MaggieThe apex consumer court on Monday issued notice to Nestle India Limited on a Rs. 640-crore suit against it by the Centre for alleged unfair trade practices and other charges pertaining to Maggi noodles and directed the Government to test the samples afresh at accredited labs.

A bench of National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission headed by Justice V K Jain admitted the Centre’s plea which also accused the company of false labelling and giving misleading advertisements.

Taking note of Bombay High Court’s August 13 judgement quashing the orders of the Indian food regulators banning the nine variants of instant noodles in the country, the bench directed the Centre to test samples afresh by “accredited labs”.

“High Court has quashed your (Centre’s) order on the ground that laboratory were not accredited and recognised…. Second, you did not follow correct procedure,” the bench said, adding that “you (Centre) have to satisfy whether you had followed the right procedure” in procuring the reports.

Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Jain, appearing for the Centre, however, said that there is no prescribed standard as such but it is up to the food authority to decide.

However, the NCDRC bench said that this practice has been termed by the High Court as arbitrary.
The Centre said that in this case, the main question is whether the company has been selling products which, as per the “temporarious guidelines”, are not right.

“As on today, what fresh material do you have to show as the earlier has been rejected by the high court,” the bench said.

It posted the matter for next hearing for September 30.

In its petition, the Centre has sought a direction to the company to deposit Rs 284.55 crore in the Consumer Welfare Fund for defective and hazardous goods sold and unfair trade practice.

“This commission be pleased to direct the opponent company (Nestle India Limited) to deposit in the Consumer Welfare Fund Rs. 355.40 crore as punitive damages,” the Centre said in its complaint before the commission.

The Centre has also sought an interest of 18 per cent per annum on the amount claimed by it in the complaint till the date of actual payment of the total amount.
