Director Subhash Kapoor, known for his recent comedy-drama ‘Jolly L.L.B.’ has been accused of molestation by actress Geetika Tyagi.
A video of the actress slapping the director has also gone viral. It was posted by Geetika on the micro-blogging site Twitter

The `One By Two` actress is getting a lot of support from fans and more and more people have lauded her for her bravery in coming out with the news.

She also put up her intent for uploading the video saying:

“My intentions for uploading this video are:

a) to caution those girls who will come in contact with this man, Subhash Kapoor, socially or professionally and will make the mistake of looking up to him as father-figure or as an elder brother and trust him and

b) for all girls who, if god forbid become victims of sexual assault, not to give in to pleading of their attacker`s wife, sister, mother, daughter or any woman who claims to be suffering and asks for your forgiveness for attacker. Dimple Kharbanda shamelessly attended film award functions within a week of this meeting that she did not know I was recording.

It is not easy to upload this. Like that sexual assault this too is invasion of my privacy that I am compelled to compromise by my own conscious to expose what Subash Kapoor did to me. A woman suffers in both the scenarios, when she stays quiet and when she speaks up.

I hope this fate does not befall on any woman anywhere.”

The passage of the contentious AP Reorganisation Bill in the Lok Sabha to create a separate state of Telangana has spurred parties in Maharashtra to renew the demand for statehood to Vidarbha.

RPI President Ramdas Athawale announced that his party will launch an agitation in Vidarbha on February 24, to demand that the region be given statehood.

“The Centre should have created a separate Vidarbha state, along with the decision on Telangana,” Athawale told.

“We will meet Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde shortly to demand statehood for Vidarbha,” the RPI leader said.

The state BJP leadership has reiterated its demand for Vidarbha. State BJP president Devendra Fadnavis said, “We had already passed the resolution in favour of smaller states, including a separate state of Vidarbha.”

Congress leaders from Vidarbha have also backed the demand. “The party will definitely support a separate Vidarbha state,” MPCC chief Manikrao Thakre said.

However, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has opposed the demand.

The harried employees of defunct Kingfisher Airlines (KFA) have approached the office of Regional Labour Commissioner (RLC) in New Delhi, seeking its intervention over non-payment of salary dues.
In a related development, the airline management failed to attend a meeting called by the RLC on the issue.
Over 2,000 employees, not been paid for the last 18 months, had earlier been represented through Trade Union Coordination Centre at the RLC which had called KFA Chairman Vijay Mallya for a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the issue.
“Since Mallya or any of his management team executive did not turn up for the meeting, we were advised to approach the RLC directly so that conciliatory proceedings under the Industrial Dispute Act can take place,” Kingfisher employee Anjan Kumar Deveshwar, who along with four other colleagues has petitioned the Labour Ministry, said.
The employees alleged the wife of one of their colleagues committed suicide last year due to financial hardship in the wake of non-payment of dues and added the salary issue needs serious attention from the government.
“Our salary dues are pending since August 2012. The management is misleading us by saying it does not have funds and it is looking for investors. Kindly, intervene (in the issue) and direct Kingfisher Airline to pay us or terminate our services after paying compensation,” the employees said in their petition to the RLC.
Mallya-led Kingfisher Airlines has been grounded since October 2012.
Last week, the employees had appealed to cricketer Yuvraj Singh not to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the forthcoming edition of the IPL on “moral grounds”.
The Mallya-led RCB bought Yuvraj for a whopping Rs. 14 crore during an auction in Bangalore last week.

At least 17 waitresses nabbed from an illegal bar in Maharashtra escaped from a correctional home here early Wednesday after throwing chilli powder in the eyes of the watchman, an official said. Eight were later caught.
The incident took place at the Vatsalya Mahila Vastigriha (VMV) in the city, according to a police complaint lodged by the hostel authorities.
VMV head Nalini Patil told mediapersons the incident occurred when the lone security guard opened the main gate to allow the milkman to enter around 4.30 a.m.
“Suddenly, the girls who were hiding sprang and threw chilli powder on his face, blinding him and taking advantage of the darkness, escaped” Patil said.
Afterwards, the watchman informed the hostel officials who alerted the Sakarwada police station.
A police search team was organised which fanned out in the localities and also flashed wireless messages to all police vans to check important roads and exits from the city.
The prompt action bore fruit and eight were caught loitering or hiding in the Panchati area.
Investigating officer Suresh Padvi said the hunt for the remaining nine was on.
Patil said these waitresses were among the 41 women who were nabbed following a police raid few days back on a clandestine bar in Thane district.
Following a court order, the women were shifted to VMV, Nashik.
Patil said the women often said they wanted to be reunited with their families and children and demanded they be released from the hostel at the earliest.
