Honeymoon Horror: Sonam Offered ₹20 Lakh to Kill Husband Raja, Paid Hitmen Linked to Lover 2

In a chilling revelation that has shocked the nation, Meghalaya Police have unearthed a murder-for-hire plot in the tragic death of Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon. His wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, has allegedly confessed to orchestrating the murder by offering ₹20 lakh to her lover’s friends, of which ₹15,000 was paid in advance, according to police reports.

The couple had recently married on May 11 in Indore and set out for their honeymoon in Meghalaya on May 20. Within days, Raja went missing, and on June 2, his decomposed body was found in a deep gorge—stripped of his gold chain and ring, sparking immediate suspicions of foul play.

Investigators revealed that Sonam, in cahoots with her alleged lover Raj Kushwaha, plotted the murder and met the hired killers in Bengaluru before they all boarded a flight to Meghalaya. Initially offering ₹4 lakh, Sonam later increased the bounty to ₹20 lakh and paid ₹15,000 in cash to Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), and Anand Kurmi—friends of Kushwaha—before the murder.

The last known contact with Raja and Sonam was on May 23. The next day, the scooter they had rented was found abandoned, triggering a search operation. Meanwhile, Sonam disappeared without a trace.

Raj Kushwaha was later arrested in Madhya Pradesh, and the three alleged assassins have also been taken into custody. Sonam resurfaced on June 9 in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, after she called her brother from a local eatery. Crying and asking to speak to her family, she revealed her location, which led to her immediate detention. She later surrendered to the police and is now under a three-day transit remand with Meghalaya Police.

Raja’s grieving family has demanded the strictest punishment for all those involved, stating that Kushwaha had even visited their Indore home after Raja’s death, adding another layer of betrayal to an already heart-wrenching crime.

Politics of Scoundrels: When Musk vs. Trump Becomes a National Embarrassment 4

In an age where public service should be about solving crises, planning futures, and restoring trust in institutions, American politics has instead degenerated into an unfiltered slugfest between overgrown egos. The latest—and perhaps most spectacular—example is the public breakdown of the Trump-Musk alliance. Once a show of power between the world’s richest man and the world’s most controversial president, this unholy friendship has devolved into a childish, vindictive, and dangerous feud that exposes the rot at the core of American political culture.

This is not a case of ideological divergence. It’s not a disagreement about how best to serve the American people. This is personal, petty, and poisoned by pride. It is about who gets to be the alpha male in a testosterone-fuelled circus masquerading as governance.

From Billion-Dollar Alliance to Twitter Bloodbath

Elon Musk and Donald Trump once sat on the same table, patted each other’s backs, and posed for pictures as saviors of American innovation and capitalism. Trump gave Musk the symbolic title of heading the Department of Government Efficiency, and Musk, in turn, lent his charisma and technological stardom to legitimize Trump’s so-called economic revival. But make no mistake—this was never about service to the people. It was about consolidating influence. It was about playing house with institutions for their own benefit.

What triggered the fallout?

A disagreement over Trump’s bloated spending bill—humorously (and tragically) dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Musk called it what it was: government waste hidden behind patriotic language. Trump responded not with clarification or debate but with character assassination. He accused Musk of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” and floated the idea of terminating every federal contract linked to Musk’s companies—Tesla, SpaceX, and more.

Let that sink in. A former president of the United States publicly threatens to cancel billions in government investment—not based on performance or merit, but because of a bruised ego. This is not leadership; this is a scorched-earth tantrum from a man who still sees the federal treasury as his personal war chest.

Ego Over Empire

Musk is not innocent here. Let’s not sugarcoat the facts: Tesla and SpaceX exist as giants today largely due to government support. Tesla was pulled out of financial oblivion by a $465 million low-interest loan from the Department of Energy. SpaceX has swallowed nearly $15 billion in NASA and Pentagon contracts, including exclusive rights to crewed space flights and the deorbiting of the ISS. Musk’s empire is scaffolded on the very taxpayer dollars he now pretends to be too principled to need.

And yet, Musk lashes out against federal oversight, EV mandates, and regulatory checks—as if he built his fortune in a libertarian vacuum. The hypocrisy is staggering. You can’t build your skyscraper on public land and then scream “tyranny” when asked to follow the zoning laws.

Trump, meanwhile, embodies the worst of vengeful populism. His feud with Musk isn’t about what’s good for America—it’s about loyalty. Musk dared to dissent. That, in Trump’s worldview, is the gravest sin. So now we see threats of contract cancellation, regulatory throttling, and attempts to turn Musk’s image from tech titan to national traitor.

It’s not policy—it’s personality cult warfare. And it is grotesque.

Collateral Damage: America’s Future

The consequences of this feud go far beyond Musk and Trump. This is no longer a private spat—it’s institutional blackmail. Tesla’s stock is crashing. SpaceX’s role in America’s space program is under scrutiny. NASA, the Pentagon, and even the FAA are now potential pawns in a billionaire-vs-billionaire chess match.

And this is where the true danger lies. SpaceX is not just another contractor—it is America’s sole vehicle for transporting astronauts to space. It is key to the Artemis lunar mission. It is essential to national security satellites and cutting-edge communication infrastructure via Starlink. By threatening to cut ties with Musk, Trump is playing with national interests for personal vengeance.

Lori Garver, former NASA deputy administrator, called Musk’s behaviour “untenable.” But she should’ve added, “So is Trump’s. If a former president can casually suggest dismantling America’s space ambitions because of a Twitter beef, we are far beyond the realm of democratic decline. We are in the death spiral of responsible governance.

Even more insidious is the threat of regulatory sabotage. Under Trump’s influence, agencies like the FAA and NHTSA could stall Tesla’s product launches or SpaceX’s orbital ambitions. No need for Congressional oversight—just bureaucratic warfare masked as administrative caution. This is how democracies suffocate: not in explosions, but in slow, strategic strangulation by those in power.

A Public Spectacle of Decay

The absurdity doesn’t end with policy. We’ve seen screenshots, cryptic posts about DOGE and Buddhism, X unfollows, and innuendo-laced whispers about Epstein. That’s right—Musk publicly implied Trump is linked to Epstein’s scandal. Trump responded by saying he “asked Musk to leave” his inner circle. These are not statesmen. These are schoolyard brats in bespoke suits, dragging their entourages—and the nation—with them into the dirt.

The Millers, once dual agents in both Trumpworld and Musk’s camp, have become symbolic of the larger circus: opportunists riding whichever wave keeps them in proximity to power. Katie Miller’s allegiance to Musk may be personal, professional, or purely performative—but in any case, it further exposes how Washington is no longer governed by law, but by loyalties.

So, Who Loses?

It’s tempting to ask whether Musk or Trump will lose more in this war. But that’s a trap. The real question is: how much more can America afford to lose while its elites throw tantrums?

The public loses trust in institutions. Investors lose faith in stability. America loses credibility on the world stage. And the dream of bipartisan progress—already on life support—dies a little more with each viral post and backhanded insult.

At its core, this feud reveals a painful truth: American politics is no longer about governance—it’s about spectacle. Billionaires like Musk play the libertarian martyr while quietly banking government cash. Politicians like Trump wield public resources like mafia dons punishing disloyal capos. Neither side is fighting for the people. They are fighting for the spotlight.

And as they fight, the systems that built their empires begin to crumble.

The Trump-Musk fallout isn’t just news—it’s a mirror. It shows us what happens when politics becomes a game for scoundrels, when egos replace ethics, and when public power is wielded like a private weapon. If the American people don’t demand better—leaders who prioritize integrity over image, and policy over personal pride—then we are doomed to be ruled not by visionaries, but by vaudevillians. And while Musk and Trump hurl insults from their marble towers, the rest of us are left picking up the debris of their broken egos.

"No Time for Dada": Supriya Sule Dodges Talk of NCP Reunion with Ajit Pawar 6

Amid speculation over the possible reunion of the warring Nationalist Congress Party factions, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) working president Supriya Sule on Tuesday tactfully sidestepped questions, claiming she was too occupied with other responsibilities to discuss internal party affairs.

Responding to a reporter’s question on whether she remembered “dada” — her cousin and political rival Ajit Pawar — on the NCP’s 26th foundation day, Sule quipped, “I have six brothers, and I remember them every day.” Asked if she would call Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to wish him, she simply replied, “I speak to all my brothers on different occasions.”

The NCP, originally founded by Sharad Pawar, was split in July 2023 after Ajit Pawar joined the ruling Shiv Sena-BJP alliance, leading to a bitter rift. The party’s name and iconic clock symbol were awarded to Ajit Pawar’s faction by the Election Commission, while Sharad Pawar’s camp was rebranded as NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar).

Recent murmurs suggest the two factions may be considering a truce, but Sule brushed off such talk, stating she hasn’t had time to meet party colleagues or even her family over the past 15 days. “In a democracy, everyone has the right to express their opinions,” she added.

Sule also paid tribute to late NCP leader R. R. Patil, emphasizing the team spirit that once defined the party. “NCP is Sharad Pawar’s creation and has completed 26 years with the contribution of many — those with us and even those who aren’t.”

Having recently led a multi-party delegation abroad to represent India’s stance after Operation Sindoor, Sule said she would soon be heading to New Delhi to attend a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other delegates involved in the outreach mission.

No Ego, No Bar: Sena (UBT) Open to Patch-Up with Raj Thackeray’s MNS, Says Sanjay Raut 8

In a move that has set political circles abuzz, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday said his party is willing to take a step forward—or even back—if it means doing what’s best for Maharashtra and its Marathi-speaking population. “There is no political ego in this,” Raut declared, as speculation intensified over a potential reunion between Sena (UBT) and Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

The statement follows a flurry of hints from both Uddhav and Raj Thackeray that they may be willing to bury past differences in the interest of the “Marathi manoos” and Mumbai’s identity—nearly two decades after their acrimonious split.

Raut emphasized that the Sena (UBT), led by Uddhav Thackeray, is committed to protecting Maharashtra’s interests and Marathi pride, even if it means setting aside political pride. His remarks echo recent sentiments expressed by Raj Thackeray, who has said that unity for the cause of the Marathi community should not be difficult.

Adding to the intrigue, Aaditya Thackeray said on Monday that his party is open to aligning with any group willing to work for Mumbai and Marathi people “with a clean heart and mind.” However, he clarified that talks of a tie-up remain speculative and largely confined to media chatter.

“Discussions are only in the media. Someone has made a call, and we’ve responded. Time will reveal the next steps,” Aaditya noted, leaving the door open while stressing that no formal talks are underway.

As political dynamics in Maharashtra shift, the possibility of a Sena (UBT)–MNS alliance could reshape regional power equations ahead of future electoral battles.

Rahul Gandhi Dares EC on Voter Roll Transparency, Demands Exact Date for Data Release 10

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday welcomed the Election Commission’s (EC) reported decision to share electoral-roll data for Haryana and Maharashtra as “a good first step,” but demanded that the poll body announce a clear timeline for providing the information in a digital, machine-readable format.

Gandhi posted a screenshot of a media report on X, which claimed that the EC had agreed to share voter roll data for the two states spanning from 2009 to 2024. The report follows an assurance allegedly given by the EC to the Delhi High Court earlier this year. However, there has been no official confirmation from the EC regarding the move.

“Good first step taken by EC to hand over voter rolls,” Gandhi posted. “Can the EC please announce the exact date by which this data will be handed over in a digital, machine-readable format?”

The Congress MP’s remarks come in the wake of escalating friction between his party and the Election Commission. After Gandhi wrote an article in The Indian Express alleging large-scale rigging in the 2023 Maharashtra Assembly elections and hinting at similar manipulation in future polls where the BJP risks losing, the EC sources responded that they would only address the matter if Gandhi writes directly to the Commission in his capacity as Leader of Opposition.

Sources also highlighted that the EC had invited all six national parties for individual meetings as part of its outreach efforts. While the other five parties participated, the Congress reportedly cancelled its scheduled May 15 meeting.

Doubling down, Gandhi hit back at the EC on Saturday, stating that silence would not salvage the poll body’s credibility and only transparency could. His article accused the EC of facilitating “match-fixing” in Maharashtra and warned that the same could occur in upcoming elections, including in Bihar.

With public trust in electoral integrity becoming an increasingly contentious issue, Gandhi’s challenge puts further pressure on the Election Commission to publicly clarify its stance and procedures.

Thane Train Tragedy: 4 Dead, 6 Injured After Falling from Moving Train 12

In a tragic start to the week, four passengers lost their lives and six others sustained injuries after falling from a moving train in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Monday morning. The incident occurred between Diva and Kopar railway stations as the overcrowded local train was heading towards Kasara during peak hours.

According to railway police officials, the train was packed with commuters, many of whom were standing at the doors. At least ten passengers reportedly fell off while the train was in motion. A guard aboard another train traveling on the same route noticed the injured people lying near the tracks and promptly alerted railway authorities.

Emergency teams rushed the injured to a civic-run hospital in Kalwa, where four passengers, all between 30 to 35 years of age, were declared dead on arrival.

Swapnil Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, confirmed that the control room was informed around 9:30 a.m. about injured passengers spotted alongside the tracks. While the exact train from which the victims fell has not yet been confirmed, investigations are underway.

The incident has triggered strong reactions from political leaders. Shiv Sena MP from Thane, Naresh Mhaske, called for a detailed probe into the tragedy, raising critical questions: “Was it overcrowding, a scuffle, or negligence? The administration needs to be vigilant,” he told a local news channel.

Adding to the outcry, Ambadas Danve, Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, described the accident as “heartbreaking and serious” in a post on X. He noted the unusual nature of the incident, pointing out that so many people suddenly falling from what may have been the Pushpak Express raises deeper concerns about railway safety protocols.

As families mourn the victims, the incident underscores the persistent issue of overcrowding and the urgent need for safer conditions in Mumbai’s suburban railway network.

Honeymoon Horror: Wife Sonam Plots Husband's Murder in Meghalaya, Police Say 14

A chilling twist unfolded in Meghalaya’s scenic hills when what appeared to be a romantic honeymoon turned into a premeditated murder, with police revealing that Indore tourist Raja Raghuvanshi was allegedly killed by assailants hired by his own wife. Meghalaya DGP I Nongrang confirmed on Monday that Sonam Raghuvanshi, the wife, surrendered at a police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, days after the victim’s body was discovered in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls on June 2.

The couple had gone missing on May 23 while visiting the Sohra region. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed, and following overnight raids, three accused were apprehended—one from UP and two from Indore. The arrested men reportedly confessed that Sonam had orchestrated the murder. Authorities say the operation is still ongoing to nab more individuals involved.

Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma praised the police for swiftly cracking the case that stunned the nation. “Within 7 days a major breakthrough has been achieved in the Raja murder case,” he posted on X, commending the arrest of the accused and Sonam’s surrender.

PTI had earlier reported that local guide Albert Pde saw the couple accompanied by three unfamiliar men on May 23 around 10 a.m., ascending over 3,000 steps from Nongriat to Mawlakhiat. He remembered them from the day before when they declined his guiding services in favor of another local.

Suspicion deepened after Raja’s body was recovered without his gold ring and chain. A bloodstained machete was later found near the site, and a raincoat resembling one worn by the couple was recovered from Mawkma village. These discoveries, along with the abandoned scooter found on May 24, painted a grim picture of a meticulously planned murder.

Sonam’s father, Devi Singh Raghuvanshi, however, alleged negligence on the part of Meghalaya Police and demanded a CBI probe, insisting that his daughter was abducted and still held captive. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav echoed this concern and formally requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a CBI inquiry.

The couple had married on May 11 and left for Meghalaya on May 20. They reached Mawlakhiat on May 22, but by the next day, Raja had vanished, and now, authorities claim, the woman meant to be his life partner is behind his death.

Goa CM Overrules Health Minister’s Public Outburst and Suspension of Senior Doctor

Goa health minister berates GMCH doctor
Goa CM Overrules Health Minister's Public Outburst and Suspension of Senior Doctor 16

In a dramatic twist to a controversy that sparked outrage across Goa’s medical and political circles, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Sunday overruled Health Minister Vishwajit Rane’s decision to suspend a senior doctor from the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). This came after Rane publicly berated Chief Medical Officer Dr Rudresh Kuttikar during a surprise visit and ordered his suspension — an act that was captured on video and went viral, triggering immediate backlash.

Facing severe criticism from the Indian Medical Association (IMA), opposition parties including Congress, AAP, and the Revolutionary Goans Party, and sections of the public, the chief minister moved swiftly to contain the fallout. He held a meeting with Rane in Panaji and later issued a statement assuring that Dr Kuttikar would not be suspended without a fair inquiry.

Taking to X, CM Sawant reaffirmed support for Goa’s medical professionals, saying, “Dr Rudresh Kuttikar will not be suspended. We value the tireless efforts of our doctors who continue to save lives every day.”

The incident unfolded on Saturday when Rane, responding to a phone complaint, stormed into GMCH’s casualty ward and confronted Dr Kuttikar over alleged mistreatment of a patient. In the video, Rane can be heard scolding the doctor, saying, “You have to behave properly with patients. I generally don’t lose my cool, but this cannot be tolerated,” before instructing GMCH superintendent Dr Patil to replace Kuttikar and initiate suspension proceedings.

The IMA called the act “unacceptable,” demanding immediate revocation of the suspension and a fair hearing. Opposition leaders slammed Rane’s conduct as “arrogant” and unbecoming of a minister.

Under intense pressure, Rane admitted he “overreacted,” acknowledging his tone was inappropriate, but stopped short of an apology. “I accept that my words could have been more measured. But I will not apologise for standing up for a patient denied care,” he said, while reiterating that doctors must balance dedication with compassion.

The GMCH, a 1,000-bed state-run hospital in Bambolim, serves patients from Goa and neighbouring parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka. The incident has reignited debates about political overreach in public institutions, ministerial conduct, and the rights of medical professionals.

The Cruel Monsoon of Maharashtra: A Farmer’s Struggle, A Government’s Slumber

The Cruel Monsoon of Maharashtra: A Farmer's Struggle, A Government's Slumber 18

Another year, another flood of promises. As unseasonal rains once again devastate Maharashtra’s farmlands, one cannot help but feel a familiar ache — the grief of the farmers and the apathy of the state machinery. From Marathwada to Vidarbha, from Udgir to Washim, the skies weep, and with them, so do the forgotten sons of the soil.

In the recent spell of early monsoon rains, harvested crops worth lakhs have been reduced to waste. Farmers, who toiled under the scorching sun for months, watched helplessly as their hard-earned produce drowned in muddy water. Videos went viral — like that of Gaurav Panwar in Washim, frantically trying to save his peanuts from the downpour with his bare hands. The clip struck a chord with the nation, but did it jolt the government into action? Barely.

Yes, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has once again assured compensation. And CM Eknath Shinde too did a symbolic tour of affected farms in Latur, promising that the rigid NDRF norms would be “kept aside” and “maximum help” would be extended. But isn’t that what we hear every single year? Promises in the rain, drowned in delay and paperwork.

The government has clarified that the compensation will be based on norms framed in March 2023 and notified in January 2024. In other words, the system remains the same — sluggish, insensitive, and disconnected from ground reality. A token ₹49 crore was disbursed for temporary relief — barely enough to bandage the wounds of lakhs of farmers across multiple districts. The truth is: the magnitude of loss far outweighs the empathy on display.

Even fishermen were not spared. Their dried fish stock got soaked and destroyed. CM Fadnavis has instructed officials to submit a proposal for compensation. Another file, another delay.

While farmers wait for panchnamas and dangle in hope, they are also expected to fill out complicated online forms under the E-crop system. As Aaditya Thackeray rightly remarked, “Farmers will soon need coaching classes to claim what is rightfully theirs.” It’s a bitter irony — the hands that grow food for millions are expected to navigate digital portals with poor connectivity and even poorer literacy support. No wonder, many farmers feel more victimized by bureaucracy than by nature.

And as if this wasn’t enough, politics continues to muddy the waters. While the present government pats its own back for announcing compensation, questions are being raised: what about timely crop insurance payouts? What about irrigation planning? What about weather-based forecasting and ground-level preparedness? The Opposition accuses the Mahayuti of grandstanding, pointing out that real help was seen more during Uddhav Thackeray’s tenure than now — and perhaps not without reason.

Every year, rains wash away the crops, and with them, a piece of the farmer’s soul. What’s tragic is not just the monsoon, but the monotony of apathy — the same announcements, the same helicopter visits, the same photo ops, and then… silence.

The fate of the farmer in Maharashtra is not just unfortunate — it is a reflection of a governance model that wakes up only after tragedy strikes. Instead of proactive disaster management, we get reactive sympathy. Instead of real-time relief, we get hollow assurances.

Maharashtra’s farmers don’t need another press conference. They need action. They don’t need grand speeches. They need dignity, protection, and timely support. If agriculture is truly the backbone of India, then it’s time we stop watching it break, year after year.

Until then, the farmer stands in his field — drenched not just in rain, but in betrayal.

India Slams Terror Links in Berlin: All-Party Delegation Takes Pakistan Head-On on Global Stage 20

In a bold diplomatic move, an all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, arrived in Germany on Thursday to underscore the nation’s firm zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and to expose Pakistan’s continued links to terror networks. The delegation, comprising leaders from across the political spectrum, landed in Berlin after a stopover in Belgium.

Indian Ambassador to Germany, Ajit Gupte, welcomed the nine-member team and held a briefing session highlighting the evolving India-Germany strategic partnership and the scope for deeper collaboration in trade, defence, science and technology, and mobility.

The Embassy of India in Berlin, in a post on X, confirmed, “Amb @AjitVGupte briefed the All-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by Hon’ble MP Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, on arrival in Berlin.” It added that discussions focused not only on bilateral ties but also on India’s strong global messaging against terrorism.

The delegation includes prominent parliamentarians like Daggubati Purandeswari, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh, Samik Bhattacharya, M Thambidurai, M J Akbar, and former diplomat Pankaj Saran. The team is part of India’s broader international effort, which involves dispatching seven multi-party delegations to 33 global capitals to expose Pakistan’s terror machinery and emphasize India’s resolve in countering it.

This international outreach follows heightened Indo-Pak tensions after the Pahalgam terror attack. In retaliation, India launched targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7. Pakistan responded with attempted attacks on Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10, which were met with strong countermeasures from India.

The escalating hostilities were de-escalated on May 10 following military-to-military talks between the directors general of operations from both sides. However, India’s global diplomatic offensive continues, making it clear that it will not allow terrorism to go unchallenged, especially when backed by state actors.
