Rape corridor

Western region is becoming a centre of rape and extortion rise as more and more cases are reported from this pocket on daily basis. The state government and the police failed to take note of such crimes and that paves way for more crimes in this corridor. Nearly 200 cases of rape have been reported in Bandra, Oshiwara and Andheri and numbers of faces are not reported to avoid further embarrassment to the victim. Mumbai is a part and parcel of crime and the menace go unabated in the western region, the so called posh locality of the city. Businessmen and Industrialists are in the fear of extortion and the numbers of crimes are increasing day by day. Even though there are free and fair registration of FIRs and a change in the cop’s attitude, there is not a permanent solution to the perennial problem. Apart from main crimes, crimes like chain snatching, robbery or house breaks, thefts are taking place on a regular basis. And the menace goes unabated as there is no serious punishment for the offenders. It is a matter of shame that the law and order is going out of hand and the people tend to have a wait and watch approach and look for improved situation with better police control.
