Right to quality education

Until the 1960s, most of the schools in the country were run by the government. With the passage of time, the private sector was allowed to establish schools in the country. These institutions charge high tuition fee which is only payable by well-to-do families. As a result, a majority of people still send their children to government schools.

However, the standard of education in government schools is in decline, leaving a large number of students deprived of a quality education. Every citizen has a constitutional right to have an access to quality education. The higher authorities must look into this matter.
