Just when the paparazzi is going bonkers over Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor’s wedding with Delhi-based Mira Rajput, came a bit of a surprise news. According to reports on the social media platforms—the duo has gotten married.
Yes, believe it or not—Shahid and Mira have tied the knot at a close friend’s place with about 40-50 people in attendance. Also, the couple will now head for their lavish after-marriage party, to be held at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. Reportedly, the wedding mahurat was at 11 am on Tuesday, and the couple tied the nuptial knot at a farm house on the outskirts of the national capital, attended by close relatives and friends.
Reports further suggest that Shahid-Mira’s wedding solemnised in a simple Gurudwara style amid presence of members of Radha Soami Satsang Bease group.
On Monday night a photograph featuring Shahid dancing away with his bride-to-be Mira at their sangeet ceremony left some of the Bollywood actor’s fans in awe of the couple and most female fans heartbroken.
Shahid’s friend and celebrity photographer Rohan Shreshtha was quick to take to Twitter to share the image, along with a caption that read, “Kill it SK.”
While Shahid looked suave in a deep red kurta, a bandhgala and pyjamas at his sangeet ceremony, Mira opted for a lime yellow lehenga.
Some other photographs too, featuring Mira blushing away on her pre-wedding ceremonies, are also available on Twitter, which is abuzz with the #ShahidMiraKaSangeet hashtag.
One of the most talked about weddings of this year, the Shahid-Mira union is also being kept quite a closed affair with only family and friends attending the celebrations at a Gurgaon hotel. A separate grand celebration is planned for the Bollywood fraternity in Mumbai on July 12.
