Anupam Kher, who is known as staunched supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an event said that Sadhvi Prachi and Yogi Adityanath whoever they are should be jailed and thrown out of the BJP for their inflammatory speeches.
“Kuch log aise bhi hai party mein jo bakwaas karte rehte hain. Chahe woh ‘Sadhvi’ ho, ya koi ‘Yogi’ ho, unko jail bhej dena chahiye, unko daatna chahiye aur unko nikaal dena chahiye. (There are a few in the party who talk non-sense. Be it Sadhvi or Yogi, they should be jailed, scolded and thrown put of the party),” said Kher.
“The tolerance-intolerance debate does not have any relevance for the man on the street, who is engrossed with getting the basic necessities of life. Tolerance is being marketed now. The opposition is taking revenge for the way they were debated,” Kher said at the event.
“Also the opposition lacks any issue. They haven’t been able to raise any corruption related issue in the past 22 months, while during the preceding ten years (of Congress-led United Progressive Alliance regime from 2004-2014) there was only talk about graft,” he said, speaking on the motion “In the opinion of the house, tolerance is the new intolerance”.
Without naming Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Kher mocked the party for “tolerating” a person who they wanted to project as the prime ministerial candidate.
“I think the most tolerant people in the country are in the Congress. They are tolerating a person who they want to project as the Prime Minister of the country. If you can tolerate this person, you can tolerate everything in the world.”
