A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at his residence, police said.
Earlier, the 20-year-old accused Anil Awsarmol had also raped the teenager inside the ladies toilet at Kalyan railway station, they said.
“The girl, who was acquainted with the accused, was raped inside the ladies toilet at Kalyan railway station on August 27. Three days later, the accused took her to his house in Tawri Pada in Kalyan, where he repeatedly raped her between August 30 and September 14,” Inspector G Y Gore of Khadakpada police station said.
Awsarmol, who is untraceable, left the girl at Kalyan railway station on September 15. The victim, who lives with her father, lodged a complaint with police the next day.
Since the first crime took place on the railway premises, that case was later transferred to Railway police.
The girl has been kept at a childrens home in Bhiwandi.
The Khadakpada police last night booked the youth under IPC section 376 (rape) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
