Vidya Balan is one of the few actresses who know how to give it back when rumours take a toll. Vidya is returning with the sequel to one of her biggest hits Kahaani and the actress is undoubtedly excited about it. Amidst her hectic promotions, the actress also took some time out to clarify the constant rumours about her marriage being in trouble.
Readers may be aware that Vidya Balan tied the knot with then UTV head honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012 after a couple of years courtship. Commenting in a tongue-in-cheek manner about them not being a stereotypical couple, the actress cited that they do not click enough selfies to showcase their happy marriage. Laughing off about the constant gossips about them attending events separately and other pieces about trouble in paradise, Vidya went on to add that while her reaction is amusing, she finds these tabloid stories extremely odd in a way. Reasoning that often when the two are unaware of each other’s social circle when it comes to certain parties, Vidya maintained that it wouldn’t make sense for him or her to attend parties when they do not know those people around.
Vidya Balan was also quizzed about the recent news about Siddharth Roy Kapur quitting UTV-Disney and the actress did agree to the fact that she had discussed the same with her husband and that no matter what she would continue to follow her duties as a wife as she would support him in every decision.
Vidya Balan will be seen in the role of Durga Rani Singh in Kahaani 2 which also stars Arjun Rampal as a cop. The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is slated to release on December 2.
