Aamir Khan Receives Alleged Threat in Lawrence Bishnoi Gang's Name Over 'Love Jihad' Claims 2

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has allegedly received a death threat through a viral social media post and an audio clip purportedly shared by individuals claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The persons named in the post identified themselves as Arzoo Bishnoi and Tyson Bishnoi. Claiming association with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, they accused Khan of promoting what they described as “love jihad” and issued threats against him.

However, the authenticity of the social media account, the viral post and the accompanying audio recording has not been independently verified.

According to reports, Mumbai Police are examining the material circulating on social media.

Police sources said information about the alleged threat came through a Facebook post and a voice note. However, no formal complaint has yet been filed by Aamir Khan or his representatives. Officials said a case could be registered once a complaint is received.

The viral post accuses the actor of acting against Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma and threatens action against people allegedly promoting interfaith relationships through their celebrity status.

The language used in the post reportedly includes a direct threat to Khan’s life. Investigators, however, have not confirmed whether the individuals behind the post have any actual connection with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The alleged threat comes days after Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt in a private registered ceremony at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on July 5.

The marriage had sparked protests from certain groups. Members of the Bajrang Dal reportedly burnt Khan’s effigy during a demonstration in Forbesganj, Bihar, alleging that the actor was promoting “love jihad”.

Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane had also questioned Khan’s third marriage and linked it to the same allegation. Separately, a Muslim cleric criticised the interfaith marriage, stating that it was not permissible under his interpretation of Islamic law.

Aamir Khan has rejected the allegations surrounding his marriages, clarifying that all his marriages were civil unions and that neither his current wife Gauri Spratt nor his former wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, had converted their religion.

Mumbai Police are continuing to verify the authenticity of the threat and the identities of those responsible for the viral posts.
