Abu Azmi’s ‘Ant and Sugar’ remark in bad taste

Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra unit chief Abu Azmi should apologize for his unwarranted remarks ‘Ants swarming the place where sugar is’ in context to the mass Bengaluru molestation incident on year end party which truly was sad. Many fully clad women have been molested or raped in our country and Azmi’s remarks hold no water and only highlight the cheap mentality of the male gender against the fair sex. Rising cases of rapes and molestation in Bengaluru is a matter of grave concern and playing with modesty of women should never be tolerated. It’s a law and order issue that needs to be resolved and the State govt should enforce security or ask for centre’s help to control the situation.

Control in alcohol consumption than on clothes women wear is the need of the hour as one cannot expect the fair sex to come in a ‘Churidhar’ (fully clad) for a late night party. Peeping Tom’s and the frustrated would anyways commit sexual crime and it is the law and punishment that should be made harsher to check sexual crimes in the country. Less clothes doesn’t mean sexy and women should dress in a manner that is attractive and not in a manner that looks cheap!,
