Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Thursday expressed disappointment over Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘dalal’ comment made against him. Singh said that when entire Yadav family was against Akhilesh’s marriage to Dimple Yadav, it was Singh who stood by him.

Akhilesh Yadav has earlier blamed Amar Singh for the on-going crisis in the party and the dispute within the Yadav family.

Amar Singh claimed that he was even blamed when Akhilesh Yadav replaced uncle Shivpal Yadav as the Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi party President. He also said that Shivpal Yadav, then, instead of blaming him welcomed the new party head.

In an attempt to prove his loyalty towards SP and Akhilesh, Singh recalled the earlier days saying, “When Akhilesh’s entire family was opposing his marriage with Dimple Yadav, I was the only one, who supported him,” adding that “There is no photo of his (Akhilesh) wedding where this ‘dalal’ is not there,” Amar Singh said with a heavy heart.

“I may not be with CM Akhilesh, but I will always be with Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Akhilesh,” Amar Singh asserted.

Amar Singh, a close aide of Mulayam Singh Yadav said that he is not in support with Akhilesh Yadav but will always extend help to Mulayam’s son.

Singh said he would have a word with the Home Minister (Rajnath Singh) and seek protection.

“I have two young daughters and now I am scared after Ram Gopal Yadav’s threatening statement,” Amar Singh said.

Amar Singh also categorically dismissed all the reports claiming that he was responsible for the alleged tussle between UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav.

Singh also rejected reports of him having allegedly called UP CM as Aurangzeb and SP Chief as Shahjahan. “I have never talked to Ashu Malik. New report has nothing to do with me,” said Singh.

Singh said that he is even able to meet Rahul Gandhi sometimes, but he has never able to arrange a meeting with Akhilesh Yadav.

Congress and BJP took potshots at the Yadav family crisis on Thursday.

“Akhilesh Yadav has been isolated. Shivpal Yadav is completely dominating the party and Mulayam Singh is supporting him. In this fight of power, the Uttar Pradesh people are the one suffering the most,” BJP leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi said.
