Writer and activist Arundhati Roy had criticized Mahatma Gandhi for his casteist tendencies and also wanted the institutions named after the “Father of the Nation” to be renamed. By issuing such type of statements Arundhati is trying to garner cheap publicity.

When you show indecency to a revered figure, you cannot expect any decency for yourself. She will prove to be a good actor in a horror movie. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has demanded action against her for issuing casteist statements against Gandhiji. He also added that the government must take action against her for issuing statements against such a person who is not only respected in India but worldwide. The author’s comments provoked immediate outrage from descendants and some scepticism from historians.

I did not see Mahatma Gandhi but those elders who have seen him were astonished at his walking speed. You evolve as a person with the time as you work and undergo several hardships. Those people who are criticizing him will first have to think about the difficulties faced by him in South Africa where he was subject to racism. Gandhiji had devoted much of his time fighting caste prejudice.

Very few people drink goat milk but it is reported to be very good for children with weak liver and under nourished. These days we hear lot of people talking nonsense. Vishwa Hindu Parishad convenor Ashok Singhal had said that the victory of BJP in Lok Sabha election was a setback to Muslim politics. Why you are teasing and belittling the Muslims? Singhal has not undergone any skill training and hence he cannot talk about any constructive activity. I have already warned that since the BJP is in power ( with RSS backing) you will hear more such unwarranted statements as the days pass unless the government effectively controls such loose cannons and hate mongers. He also had said that Muslims must learn to respect Hindu sentiments.

Recently, a technician had arrived at my room in Lucknow for installing a window AC. I had doubts whether he can perform the job singlehandedly? I offered assistance but he politely declined and asked me only if I can get him a few wooden pieces and some plywood. He worked excellently and when I asked for his contact number and name he replied that his name is Salim and also shared his mobile number with me. The government is likely to make amendments in the Land Acquisition Bill. You will make it easy by remembering social reformer Acharya Vinoba Bhave and not foolish Arundhati Roy.
