The militants succeeded in killing two of our security people. Does this indicate the lack of intelligence and preparedness on our part? And also, whatever happened to the practice of wearing bullet-proof protective gear for our armed forces who are vulnerable to get shot? The Pakistani prisoners plot attacks from the Srinagar jail that has become a hub of all kinds of criminal activities. When the J&K police insisted that he be shifted to the Jammu jail, he moved a petition from a city court and he got a stay on the order of the DG Prisons on December 26, 2017. The court said consent may not be given without hearing the counsel of the accused. Even though it is a cowardly act by the militants, it gives a score for our security men that the terror threat is entering hospitals as well. We should have a proper intelligence service and work really hard to attack the enemy with the information available just like the Chinese doing with Muslim terrorists. It is high time we should stop the causalities increasing in numbers and fight the enemy by attacking from all corners. Attack is the best form of defence.
