The BJP now seems to be moving from ‘Love for a Ram Temple’ to ‘Love jihad’. ‘Love Jihad’ is now slightly but officially a part of the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh agenda. It is reflected in the political resolution being discussed at the party’s Vrindavan meet recently. The term ‘Love Jihad’ is created by ‘saffron parivar’ which refers to girls from majority religion being converted to minority religion using love and marriage albeit in an organised manner. The resolution notes that accused in many “crimes against women of one community” belong to “one particular community” and such instances of communal tension are rising due to such crimes against women. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s election promise of building a Ram Mandir at the disputed site in Ayodhya did not hold much weight in the temple town as prominent seers dismissed it as a ‘political gimmick’ and accused the party of trying to create a wedge between communities. BJP kept the “people in the dark” over its plans for the Ram Mandir. BJP said that if they come to power, they will facilitate the construction of the temple. However, they presented no blue print. Their intentions were not clear. They fuelled this issue just for political gains. If they fail to do anything concrete this time, then people who voted them on this ground will feel cheated.
No doubt, Ram Temple, abrogation of Article 370 and Uniform Civil Code are very important core issues for the BJP but they can wait. The priorities for Narendra Modi is to set the economy, bring back black money stacked overseas, root out corruption in public life, protect the borders and stop infiltration across the borders, and most importantly, provide job opportunities to millions of unemployed educated youths by embarking upon various development programs. Certain issues that questions the spirit of growth and brotherhood needs to be avoided at any cost! Once again “Ram Temple” is getting limelight and is being repeatedly shown and is been talk of the town off late. What we need to realise is that India is a very beautiful place which takes pride of having a diversified class of people, be it any religion. People are already fed up with such issues as we are already burdened with a heap of challenging realities like “unemployment, corruption, inflation, price rise and so on” So, here is a request to my fellow media persons, “Make this issue microscopic and focus only on things that unites India and make India a better place to live in!”
Vinay Katiyar, one time poster boy of Ram-janambhoomi temple movement, has now taken charge in UP to deal with new agenda and that is of ‘Love Jihad’. “Love jihad is on. If one goes to the depth of the incidents of communal clashes which are happening, we find “they” try to befriend girls from one community. If the attempt fails, “they” don’t just rape but even kill the girl.” Another senior BJP leader also made statement quoting “many recent riots, the story are the same. A girl is raped or killed while she is in a relationship with a boy or man from the minority community.”
The Muzaffarnagar riots ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and the ensuing polarisation helped the BJP. The party and its allies won 73 of 80 seats. A rise of 63 seats compared to 2009 saw not even a single candidate from the minority community win from UP, where it has 20 per cent population. Since it worked in 2014, the BJP has less incentive to change task for Uttar Pradesh in 2017. The RSS has already started providing legal assistance to a large number of people who have been implicated in several cases in Muzaffarnagar riots of 2013. They are also dealing with cases of rape of Hindu girls by members of other religions. However, they forget to address the issue of Hindu girls getting raped by Hindu men. Recent incidents of ‘Love Jihad’ have made this issue more vocal and a new subject of propaganda for BJP. The time is most appropriate because at least 50 such cases have taken place in western UP in the last one year alone. Love Jihad is accepted by Islam to convert other religious community. It is a well funded conversion plan of Islamic nations.
In Myanmar, Bangladeshi origin Muslim called Rohingyas was trying to possess Raikhan Muslim woman through kidnapping and rape. Last year’s riot is the proof of ‘Love Jihad’. Read the Banu Quarzya massacre of Madenian tribe by Mohammed and capturing beautiful women for involuntary service to Muslim men. Love Jihad is patronised by Maulana Yaqud and Al-Khi-Lesh Yaqud. This is an absolutely true massive movement targeting non-Muslims girls, in India it is Hindu girls, in Europe it is Christian girls. They are targeted for rape, conversion, kidnapping for flesh trade in order to reduce the reproduction of non-Muslims and use non-Muslim girls to increase Muslim reproduction. In a lot of cases, once the girls are used to forcibly produce babies, the women are forced into prostitution by the Muslim husbands/kidnappers. ‘Love Jihad’ isn’t restricted to UP alone. Its echo can be heard even in MP. This is mildest version of changing demographic pattern of the country. Hence, rape attempts should be looked after carefully. Central Government needs to strengthen the laws of religion conversion stringently and with view of demographic patterns.
We need change in this country but not at the cost of carnage.
