BJP to field Smriti Irani against Kejriwal for Delhi Polls

The BJP is keen to field Union Human Resources Minister Smriti Irani to contest election against Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal which is a brilliant move. Let Modi hedge himself against Kejriwal otherwise the latter will tear him into pieces. If the saffron party fields Smriti against Kejriwal, she will definitely win because she is the only person capable of giving a tough competition to him. BJP has declared that it would not name its Chief Ministerial nominee in the national capital.

The thinking amongst a section of top BJP leadership is that a strong nominee is needed to take on Kejriwal, whose party is likely to be the BJP’s biggest challenger in the February poll. The saffron party is presently framing such policies where nothing will get manufactured in India in 2014-15. The saffron party has proposed renaming Planning Commission as Niti Aayog while it has renamed the UPA government’s Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan Scheme as Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan which requires no efforts. These tasks can be easily done.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has urged the government to declare Bhagwat Gita as India’s National scripture.

The Bhagavad Gita teaches us to perform our work without bothering about the fruits. However, last week we had noticed that several leaders were canvassing for the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Yada yada hi darmasya, glanir bhavati Bharata
Abhyuthanam adarmasya, tadatmanam srajamy aham.
You might be thinking that I am writing these verses for Prime Minister Narendra Modi but I am writing it for myself. Villagers are well aware about Ramayana and Bhagvad Gita better than many of the ministers in the Modi government. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had underscored the universal relevance of the Bhagwad Gita, saying its message must be spread across the national borders to benefit all communities alike. He had urged Indians to share its spiritual wisdom with the world and contribute towards the restoration of balance in society.

There are more virtuous persons than me in our country. I will be pleased if they take such a pledge against the people who may keep indulging in self-promotion and deception and don’t deliver the actual results. I repeat the words of Sucheta Kripalani who was the first woman chief minister in India, “Hamare grameen log nirakshar ho sakte hain lekin agyan nahin”. By the way, let us find out how many people at the Litfest have read the book Recovery of Faith by Dr Radhakrishnan. I have lost this book but I will visit the library to read it once again.
