For the first time after the freedom, the country has suffered a great constitutional crisis. The four senior most judges of the Supreme Court have expressed their distrust in Chief Justice. At a press conference, the judges had flagged certain problems, including the assigning of cases by the CJI, and said there were certain issues afflicting the country’s highest court and also raising questions against the neutrality and impartiality of the SC. They also added that we contacted the Chief Justice in this case orally and in written but unfortunately he overlooked it. All the intellectuals of the country are astonished at this incident and it’s considered as a great disaster of integrity and democracy of the country.
