The BJP government tabled the controversial Land Acquisition Bill 2015 to replace the ordinance in Lok Sabha. The government will find it difficult to pass the bill in Rajya Sabha as it lack majority. The opposition parties have already united and will block the passage of the bill in the upper house. Social Activist Anna Hazare too had begun a two day fast to protest against the bill and termed it as anti-farmer. According to Hazare the government is supporting the industrialists and sidelining the interest of farmers.
Why does the government want to build everything today itself? Why do you feel that after you, there will be no one left to build anything? You have built up so much security cover around everything that it has become prohibitive. Earlier, I used to easily walk inside the DG Shipping office. Oil and Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is quick to say, no joint secretary is involved when every official in Delhi will inform you that joint secretaries are minister’s men.
