Corruption rampant in Delhi

Former coal secretary P.C. Parakh says that JMM chief Shibu Soren demanded 50 lakhs for appointing an official as the CMD of Coal India Ltd. This incident doesn’t surprise me as it always happens in Delhi. I really wonder why Mr Parakh has to enlighten us on this after comfortably enjoying the fruits of the office. I have been shouting from roof tops please do not come out with a fractured mandate to necessitate any coalition because these are the leaders who indulge in maximum corruption in a ruthless manner. Everyone says that they want to eradicate corruption but no government has bothered to check who visits five star hotels in Delhi and with whom. All corrupt practices are negotiated here in the late evenings.

Manmohan Singh has lost all respect. Singh allowed corruption to prosper under his leadership and there is no need to allot him such a huge bungalow in Delhi, what will he do with it? Arvind Kejriwal fools the people by saying that he will eliminate corruption through Lokpal. Why? He should know why corruption is rising in Delhi. I am aware about it even though I have not visited Delhi for many years now. Don’t get fooled by such phony and street smart persons. They are doing more harm to the nation.

Once Modi wins and takes over leaders will put immense pressure on him and say, “Humko minister banao nahin to hum uske paas jayenge”. Shatrughan Sinha has already given an interview to Prabhu Chawla for remaining visible. Sinha is indulging in “Chamchagiri to get a berth in the cabinet. How can you make a person of “vilasi prakriti” a minister.

Times are changing; we should have at least some technocrats of good character and track record in the ministry. Next important task will be to pay attention to bureaucracy who indulge in red tapism and block the files needlessly. The files are considered as jersey cows and the officers want to extract maximum bribe from an applicant before approving it. Do you think Meenakshi Lekhi, Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Sushma Swaraj are unaware about it? They know everything but they continue to play the game. In a recent conclave organized by a news magazine, did you notice Arvind Kejriwal’s facial expression when he met Amitabh Bachchan? That says it all. Dear friends, be wise and remain alert.
